Christine Burris
Christine Burris's Fundraiser

You are Invited to a 1960's Dance & Bingo Party; Thursday October 8, 7:30 PM via Zoom

Let's raise money to provide permanent homes for those among us with Serious Mental Illness (SMI)

$750 towards $1,500

Let's support Dave's House (daveshouseevents.org/about-us/ OR https://www.facebook.com/DavesHouseFlorida/) with a Party! Prizes! Fun! '60s Music and (at home) Dancing! The theme is the mid-1960s. What can you find to wear from that era that you can still fit into?? A hat maybe? But, this is NOT clothing optional!! No streaking by the Zoom camera. Bring your favorite beverage, we will play Bingo, and most of all check the donation box or send a check to Dave's House (information below).

Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. Dave's House was started by my college roommate, Lin Jeffreys Wilensky, together with her husband Ron, to honor her brother Dave. The photo is of Lin and I on the day we met in 1966 in our dorm room. I knew her older brother Dave, who was stricken with schizophrenia in his senior year at our college, Allegheny. One in five US families have a member with mental illness. Who do you know and love with this disease? Dave lived in a permanent supportive group home in Alexandria, VA before he died of other causes. Let's help Lin and and the non-profit she founded in Orlando, FL to fund more permanent homes like the one Dave Jeffreys lived in, Dave's House.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping to reach my goal for Dave's House. Let's start the fundraising at $25 per family (and yes, this is all tax deductible). For this amount you will receive a Zoom invitation to our party, 4 bingo cards, a chance at prizes, and dancing with OUR 1960s tunes. It will be a FUN evening!! Join us! Jim and I will match any donation of $150 or more.

Thanks for your help in providing homes for those with serious mental illness.

2019 in Orlando and 1966 in Meadville, PA

Looking forward to seeing you Oct. 8 on Zoom. Christine & Jim together with our friends, Lin and Ron Wilensky
